    “I have never used a professional organizer in my life, nor did I think that I ever would need this type of service. My mind quickly changed when I found out that the escrow on our new house was closing in 30 days. Wow - this was not what I had been expecting. I have an extremely busy job, and was not able to schedule any time off of work with this short notice. We had lived in our house for 20 years, had children...and the thought of packing and moving in 30 days, while working and being a wife and mother, was absolutely overwhelming. I did not even know where to begin. I will always be grateful to my husband who saw my stress level escalating, and made the first call to Emily.

    At our first meeting, Emily came totally prepared, with notebook and a pricing list in hand. We talked over plans A, B and C. Plan A, the most comprehensive, included help to organize us with a purge of our belongings, hire movers, pack, and be in control of the move to the new house on moving day. She also included tips on packing, as well as unpacking our "3 day boxes" on moving day - those things needed to get you through the first 3 days after the move.

    On the day of the move, Emily was in charge. We left our old house for work and school on Wednesday morning, and came home to our "new" house Wednesday night. All furniture was moved and placed where we had previously agreed. "3 Day Boxes" were unpacked. Food was in the fridge. Sheets were on the bed. Clothes were hanging in the closet - a new "built in" closet that she helped to design, hired the vendor, and negotiated the best price. Our house was totally set up and livable - and Emily had done it all. I was so thankful for her.”

I called on Emily to help me with this move. She came to Newport several times, and together we went through my fathers 70 years worth of accumulated "stuff". She arranged for the donation truck and the trash hauler to come to the house, negotiating with both of them for the best price. She cleared out our garage from our own move, organizing and labeling drawers and cabinets, so we would have room for my fathers items.

    I cannot recommend Emily more highly. She has not only earned my complete trust, but my complete respect as well.
